Meet IMV imaging's Account Managers

Mon Aug 05 2024

Introduction

We at IMV imaging are here to help you with your diagnostic imaging needs.

We have dedicated account managers in your area and throughout the UK and Ireland, who are happy to provide advice, support and help whenever you may need it as well as making sure you find the right equipment and training for your practice. Some of our team work remotely and have technology at their disposal that allows them to continue to carry out product demonstrations, install training and provide support to our customers with their imaging equipment.

If you would like to find out more about any of our equipment or already have our equipment and are looking for a bit of extra support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with an account manager.

A bit about us…

Imaging Sales

Nigel Perry – Head of International Sales & 3D

With extensive experience in providing veterinary diagnostic imaging equipment and training,  I am here to help our customers with CT/ MRI and finding the right solution for their practice. As well as this, I support equine practices worldwide through providing ultrasound equipment and training. I enjoy my job as it brings together technology, animals and travel which are three areas that really interest me. On top of that vets are great people to work with.

I’m here to help customers get the most from their imaging equipment as well as building their confidence with all aspects of ultrasonography and radiography. I graduated from the RVC in 2013 and spent 6 years working as an ambulatory, equine vet before joining IMV imaging in 2019. I enjoy running and am currently training for my next half marathon.

Claire-Louise Townsend – Account Manager
(Scotland)

Claire-Louise

While undertaking my Bachelor of Science in Animal Health at Murdoch University in Perth WA, I worked part-time then full-time as a vet assistant for an equine vet dentist in Western Australia for 4 years before making the move to Scotland in 2017, where I spent 3.5 years at Virbac Ltd as a companion animal Nutrition Territory Manager. I have what I like to call, an “international” accent and this is because I have been lucky enough to have lived in 4 different countries – South Africa, Bahrain, Australia and now Scotland! Outside of work I enjoy spending time exploring parts of Scotland with my dogs Wallace and Angus, trying to improve my amateur kitchen garden and working on creative projects at home.

Corné Swart – Account Manager

Corné Swart

I have worked in medical ultrasound for the last 17 years, having worked directly or indirectly for manufacturers such as Fujifilm Sonosite, General Electric, Siemens and Samsung. I originally studied Clinical Technology, specialising in Cardiac Physiology in South Africa.

I have a young family and two Dachshunds who take up most of my time away from work. I enjoy travelling, the outdoors, sport in general, and enjoy a bit of running. I’ve completed the London Half Marathon and look forward to running the Great North Run later in the year.

Stephanie Harris – Internal Account Manager

After graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2015, I moved to California to undertake an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Center. I then moved back to the Midlands and spent the next 5 years working as an Equine Vet in and around Warwickshire. Where I live with my husband and our two Tibetan Terriers, Tobi and Coda.

We love exploring the countryside and listening to live music and I have recently bought a young Connemara pony called Herbie who I plan to bring on slowly over the next couple of years.

I am the General Manager for the Ireland Business and also an Account Manager for the South of Ireland. I am here to ensure that our customers are being supported in their diagnostic imaging through finding the best products for their needs and following this up with product training, clinical training and service support.

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, going to rugby matches and also breed horses. My wife Rachel is a vet and our lives are kept very busy with two small children, six horses, three dogs, two cats a pot-bellied pig and a cow. Please feel free to contact me for help and advice.

Fiona McFarland – Account Manager

Fiona McFarland

Since graduating as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bristol in 2004, I have worked in farm animal, mixed and small animal practice, and spent the last 4 years working as a locum vet in many practices across the north of Ireland. I am actively involved in veterinary associations locally and nationally and am a volunteer for Vet Support NI, Ireland and Scotland, a voluntary group who are focussed on supporting the mental health and well-being of our colleagues within the profession.

Aside from veterinary work, I enjoy an active social life and being an enthusiastic cook and baker is useful as I love entertaining. I love spending time on the family farm in Antrim and I am a part-time sheep farmer. I also enjoy gardening, DIY, swimming and getting time to walk the beaches of Donegal.

Amy Thompson – Account Manager for Scotland & North

Amy Thompson

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016, working in both mixed and small animal, first opinion practices. More recently, I worked with veterinary charity, RCVS Knowledge, where I Project Managed the development, launch and maintenance of our Antibiotic Stewardship projects for farm, equine and companion animal veterinary teams. Before starting my nursing career, I worked on livery yards for 7 years, including private and riding-school.

I am happiest in the hills, so I love living in Bonnie Scotland, immersing myself in green spaces. Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking or taking a dook in our chilly lochs – it’s helps to justify my snacking…!

Jack Pye – Account Manager

Jack_Pye

I became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2018 and transitioned into emergency & critical care, working at a bustling small animal hospital during out-of-hours shifts. By 2022, I had earned my certificate in Emergency & Critical Care. Currently, I’m pursuing a certificate in diagnostic imaging, due for completion in 2025. Additionally, I lecture on ultrasound modules for the nurse certificate in diagnostic imaging.

I still carry out clinical work as a locum veterinary nurse when I’m not working for IMV as I enjoy the clinical workload and being hands on with ultrasound and different cases.
