Veterinary Solutions, part of the IMV imaging group

“Our goal at Veterinary Solutions is to make the lives of vets easier. We know the frustration when, on a Friday night your system breaks down, there’s a pre-purchase exam on the Saturday and you have no one to help you repair your system. That’s why our focus on support is so important and we have this in the DNA of our company.”

Based in Hasselt, Belgium, Veterinary Solutions has a deep understanding of the needs of equine vets and the horses they care for. They have taken this veterinary experience and coupled it with their passion for medical imaging to create best in class veterinary imaging products and solutions, for equine and small animal vets.

Veterinary Solutions joined the IMV imaging group in 2023 and we’re taking a deep dive into the world of diagnostic imaging by shining the spotlight on Lode Leen, Founder of Veterinary Solutions.

We asked him what the future has in store for diagnostic imaging:

“The future of veterinary imaging will be focused on software – getting more professional images and sharing them. A lot of vets are still sharing images in formats that are not protected from falsification. These are all provided with our platform, Connect.Vet.”

Connect.Vet, is Veterinary Solutions patient archiving and communication system (PACS) software. It’s the central hub for all medical imaging. Connect.Vet offers seamless integration with most; if not all; devices, ensuring that every image (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, video, and more) is collected in a single study. Conveniently and securely stored in a private cloud, everything is always within reach.

AI is a hot topic in the veterinary industry at the moment and Lode feels it can definitely benefit vets and the quality of their images:

“I also see AI having a big advantage in diagnosis, where we can provide real life feedback during an exam so the vet can retake where necessary. When a diagnosis is made and there’s something suspicious on the X-ray, you can alert the vet and retake the image in another direction, so that it’s clear if there’s an artefact or not. This will ultimately improve the vet’s workflow.”
