Fiona McFarland
Ireland Account Manager
I joined IMV imaging in November 2021.
My main role is to support our customers in the north half of Ireland, ensuring they get the best advice and ongoing long term support that they need with regards to all aspects of diagnostic imaging. Most importantly, that they have access to the best up to date equipment and tools available with regards to ultrasound, radiography and 3D digital imaging. I also organise training and CPD for vets throughout all of Ireland.
Since graduating as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bristol in 2004, I have worked in farm animal, mixed and small animal practice, and spent the last 4 years working as a locum vet in many practices across the north of Ireland. I have a strong clinical interest in diagnostic imaging and particularly enjoy helping recent graduates with training, education and learning. I am actively involved in veterinary associations locally and nationally and am a volunteer for Vet Support NI, Ireland and Scotland, a voluntary group who are focussed on supporting the mental health and well-being of our colleagues within the profession.
Aside from veterinary work, I enjoy an active social life and being an enthusiastic cook and baker is useful as I love entertaining. I love spending time on the family farm in Antrim and I am a part-time sheep farmer. I also enjoy gardening, DIY, swimming and getting time to walk the beaches of Donegal.
