A day in the life of a Marketing Assistant at IMV
Part 1
Join Katie, our marketing assistant as she travels to Amsterdam to attend the Veterinary Sports Horse Congress 2024.

Hey everyone! It’s Katie, I’m a marketing assistant at IMV imaging, and I’m here to share the highlights of my recent trip to the Veterinary Sport Horse Congress in Amsterdam.

Day 1: Early Beginnings and Strategic Sessions
Thursday marked an early start, hitting the road at 4:30 am to reach Glasgow Airport for my flight. Once past security, I grabbed a coffee, double-checked our social media content, and dove into posting a few stories on Instagram and Facebook.
By 9 am, I touched down in Amsterdam, dropped off my bags at the hotel, and headed to a café to do some work. Since Joe and the Juice aren’t a thing in Scotland, it was a nice change! Next up, a meeting with Reel, our Senior Marketing Manager, Stacey, our product manager, and Bethany, our clinical and CT applications specialist. We brainstormed ways to showcase our fantastic CT offerings, especially installations, training, and aftercare – kudos to Bethany for always going above and beyond for our customers! 😊
Meeting Nigel at the hotel, who had driven all the way from England with equipment, merchandise, and clinical resources, we embarked on a journey to the RAI conference centre to set up our stand. A bit of back and forth from the car, but we made it!
Meeting colleagues Fabrice from France and Linda, our distributor in the Netherlands, we did our best to set up the stand. Our collegues from Vet Solutions were bringing in the backdrop, so we patiently awaited their arrival.
With Braum and Lode joining the team, we got down to business, setting up the stand. Since we acquired Veterinary Solutions last year, this conference was a golden opportunity for IMV imaging to promote that Veterinary Solutions is now part of the IMV family. The stand design mirrored this integration seamlessly.
Prepping the Stage: Day Before the Congress
In my marketing role, handling the printing of clinical resources is part of the drill. I selected our most popular equine resources for the stand. Setting these out, I then moved on to preparing our bags. Managing event merchandise is another facet – after a successful stint at LVS, where collating goodies in a bag became a hit, I decided to do the same for this conference so got to setting up our bags.
Post-setup, we all headed for a team dinner and an early night before the big day.

Day 1 of the Congress: Buzz and Engagement
Bright and early at 7:30 am, we hit the stand and powered up all our equipment. I took advantage of the moment to capture content for reels, TikTok, and daily stories. With our new ultrasound scanner, the Exapad Micro, in the spotlight, I created a video on how to locate our stand, editing and sharing it across our social media platforms.
The stand was abuzz during CPD breaks. Being on the stand at conferences is a personal favorite, offering a chance to connect with the veterinary community. I firmly believe that at IMV imaging, we’re ‘more than just imaging.’ It’s fantastic to engage with veterinary professionals, showcasing that we offer more than a product. By highlighting our clinical resources and discussing the fantastic CPD offering we provide especially our new online platform, we’re making a lasting impression and I really do love to tell people all about it on the stand!

And that wraps up Part 1 in Amsterdam! Stay tuned for Part 2 on the exciting happenings of Day 2 at the Congress.
